Desde 1988 ejerce la profesión de arquitecto en solitario y en colaboración con otros profesionales, dentro y fuera de España, destacando su colaboración con Rafael Moneo (1989-2007) que le ha permitido trabajar con clientes significativos del sector público y privado, en concursos y proyectos de alto y bajo presupuesto, nacionales e internacionales, de equipamiento, obra y urbanización. Desde 2013 es miembro electo de la Junta de Representantes del COAM. Desde 2015 es Patrono de la Fundación Arquitectura COAM y asambleísta en el CSCAE. Desde 2005 y en paralelo a su actividad profesional, desarrolla su actividad docente en la Escuela Politécnica Superior de la Universidad CEU San Pablo, donde imparte Proyectos Arquitectónicos y forma parte del grupo de investigación Re-Thinking Cities. Ha coordinado el Programa Bilingüe de Arquitectura (2008-2017) y entre 2013-2018 ha sido co-directora del [MUID] Master in Urban Interior Design: Public Spaces in Contemporary Cities impartido por el Politécnico de Milán, donde también ha sido profesora invitada.
Belén Hermida is a registered architect and educator from Spain. Artium Baccalaureae cum laude in Studio Art and Architecture, Wellesley College (1986) and Master of Architecture, MIT (1988). She practices alone and in collaboration with other professionals, among them Rafael Moneo with whom she worked between 1989-2007, which allowed her to work with very significant clients in both private and public sectors, in open and restricted competitions, in urban, architectural and design projects, big and small, modest and expensive, in and out of Spain. She is also a faculty member at Universidad CEU San Pablo in Madrid, Spain, where she teaches Architectural Design and researches in the group Re-Thinking Cities. She has coordinated the Bilingual Program in Architecture (2008-2017) and she was co-director of [MUID] Master of Urban Interior Design: Public Living Spaces in Contemporary Cities (2013-2018), organized by Politecnico di Milano, where she has also been visiting faculty.
