The East Bathhouse at Jones Beach was built in 1929 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally designed to accommodate bathers at the beach with changing areas and food service, it experienced multiple adaptations over the years and was removed from service in 2012. The rehabilitation introduces a multi-generational waterplay area, beachside concessions, and rooftop/veranda operation for daytime and evening use.
